About

Floriental.org is a small hosting site owned by me, Georgina. I also own Heartdrops.org and many other websites listed at Georgie.nu.

I chose to open Floriental.org for hosting for several reasons. I had always wanted to offer hosting, but somewhere other than Heartdrops.org, as the account holding that domain and several others was getting full. I also wanted to be able to host people on domains.

I started out at Midnight-Mist, currently the home of one of my Life of Quotes project. I only offered subdomain hosting as I no longer wanted to offer hosting on Heartdrops.org. But this site was extremely unsuccessful.

I had resellers at Ashpink.com and RigRag.com. Rubytears.info was the start to another hosting site with my friend Jeff, but there were problems with creating accounts. Ashpink had also gone down not long after I planned a large hosting site.

I wanted a fresh start, so I bought a reseller from Pixobox.net in late 2009, and bought Heartdrops.info. Pixobox closed and Heartdrops.info moved to a server at CyberGlobalHypernet.com.

I chose to have the same name as my main domain Heartdrops.org but with a different extension, because it happened to be available.

After endless DNS issues I decided to move to Holdfire.net. For a fresh start I also used Floriental.org as the main hosting site, although Heartdrops.info is still available for subdomain hosting.

I do not aim to turn into a professional company. I would like to focus on the people I host, and connect with them like friends. I aim to help them in their need. I don’t aim to make money from this website except to fund the cost of the reseller and domains, but I will accept donations. The reason I am offering most of this for free is because I want to help those budding web designers out there. I don’t have all the time in the world, but I hope that by offering hosting and as much help as I can, that I can make people happy. =)
